Looking back, my life is influenced by the sea. Ships and boats have fascinated me already in my childhood. It started in the first years of my life at the coast of Kiel. Next I lived in Lübeck and in Hamburg, where I liked to use the opportunity to spent my spare-time also on sailing. Being close to the water was also indispensable to my following domicile: Gran Canaria. There I live since March 2004 with my Susanne, the woman by my side.

In professional respect, it is shown in my apprenticeship as a shipbuilder and following years practising this profession. After my exam as a technician, my studies as an industrial engineer and afterwards experiences in leading projects in different sectors, I moved back to the shuipbuilding trade. Since then, I work as a mobile, self-employed shipbuilder.
